About Our Buildings:

We have 2 buildings located at 28 North Bridge and 17 Blackfriars Street.

Our North Bridge building is split into 4 collections of apartments. Each collection having a different decor style but providing the same facilities;

Lord Lyons Chambers

North Bridge Lofts

West Wing and the Attic Flat

All apartments at 17 Blackfriars Street come under Blackfriars Lofts.

We have a selection of studio, one and two bedroom apartments. These are categorized into small, classic or luxury/superior. On our direct booking site, you will see these named as:

Collection name – category of room, size of room

For example – Editors – luxury one bed apartment

For ease, we do suggest using an app to direct you to the buildings. While our team can try to help if you call asking for directions, it can be difficult for us to give the most accurate directions as we don’t always know where you are! Please remember that Edinburgh is a hilly city and has different street levels so there is often stairs, especially in the Old Town where we are located – we cannot change this.

Our most popular request for directions is from Waverley Train Station so we will give two options below; the quickest route and the easiest route. There are escalators and elevators in the train station which are marked on the overhead signage within the station to get to both these street levels.

Quickest route to both buildings (with stairs):

Exit the train station via Market Street signage.

Be aware: There are 104 steps so not suitable if you have heavy/large luggage.

Our 28 North Bridge building has a lift that services some apartments. The lift goes to the 3rd floor only at the front of the building.
 
Editors’ apartments – all apartments accessed via stairs or a lift.
 
Lord Lyons Chambers – all apartments accessed via stairs or a lift.
 
North Bridge Lofts – Our North Bridge Lofts two bedroom and small studio are serviced by the lift on the 3rd floor. All other apartments are located on the 4th and 5th floors so you can take the lift to the 3rd floor and stairs to the upper floors.
 
West Wing apartments and Attic Flat – stairs only, no lift access.
 
Blackfriars Lofts apartments are accessed via stairs only and the building does not have a lift.
 
Please note: we do include lift information on our third-party sites. This may be included in the ‘fine print’ or ‘further information’. We do recommend reading these sections prior to making a reservation as our terms may differ to previous accommodation you have booked.
Parking is not available onsite. We do recommend the Waverley Station APCOA car park which is located on New Street which is a 10-minute walk from either building. A discounted daily parking rate is agreed with this car park and full details of how to redeem will be provided in our check-in email.
 
Some third-party sites may state ‘parking’ on our main profile but by reading the ‘fine print’ or ‘further information’, it is explained that it is offsite parking. We cannot control how they display the information.

Yes, we do have luggage storage available to use on your arrival and departure days only. 

Further details on where to find the luggage store and how to access it are included within the check-in link we send before arrival.  

About Our Apartments:

Every apartment has access to free wi-fi. The wi-fi password can be found on a Perspex stand, typically located close to the TV. It can also be found via the general information link within your online check-in email, remember to select the correct apartment type that you are staying in to be directed to the relevant information. 

Yes, all apartments have a hairdryer available.
Yes, an iron and ironing board are in the apartment as standard.

Editors’ apartments have a washing machine with built in drying function and air drying rack.

Lord Lyons Chambers have a washing machine only with air drying rack.

North Bridge Lofts have a washing machine only with air drying rack.

West Wing apartments have a washing machine only with air drying rack (except West Wing studio apartment number 18 – we can offer shared facilities for this individual room.)

Blackfriars Lofts have a washing machine with built in drying function and air drying rack.

Each apartment has its own private bathroom that is not shared with any other apartment. Some of our 2 bedroom apartments only have 1 bathroom but this is shared by all members of the same party.

We do not provide napkins/tissues in the apartment as standard. We do provide dish cloths and sponges for cleaning dishes. There is grocery stores within a short walk if you would like to purchase kitchen roll/napkins/tissues.

We do not have twin beds in any apartments. If the booked apartment has a sofa bed, we provide bedding and towels for the extra person as standard. If you require 2 separate beds, we recommend booking a 2-bed apartment. We do not provide any extra/rollaway beds.

We do not have any apartments that are fully accessible apartments due to the age of the buildings and their layout. We would be happy to discuss any suitable apartments we do have by contacting our reservations team or emailing info@lintoncollection.com

Unfortunately, we do not allow pets in any of our apartments with the exception of service or guide dogs. If you have a service/guide dog, please advise us in advance of making your booking.

Our apartments do not come with a safe or lock box. 

Booking Questions:

Our full availability and rates can be found on our website via the BOOK NOW  button.

All available rooms will show as we do not withhold any rooms for sale. If the particular category of apartment is not showing on the requested dates, it is likely that the apartment is fully booked.

You can email our reservations team at info@lintoncollection.com and they will confirm if the price can be matched. Please provide a screenshot of the price you are being quoted via the external sites including the dates of your stay and category of room.

Whilst we do try to be competitive against these sites, unfortunately we cannot always price match and the reasons will be explained upon reply.

Please note: we cannot match these prices if you are redeeming any vouchers/reward nights/coupons against the stay.

The apartment type will be confirmed on your confirmation email from us or any third party booking site.

On our confirmation, this is noted in a boxed area with a section of additional information explaining any specific notes relevant to the apartment type.

Your apartment number will be confirmed by 12pm on your arrival date by email. This is on the condition that you have completed the online check-in prior to this time.

We offer the following guaranteed early check-in options subject to availability:
  • 1pm for £20.00
  • 2pm for £10.00
If you would like to book an early check-in slot to guarantee early access to your apartment, please let our team know by emailing info@lintoncollection.com
 
Alternatively, you can contact our property team once you arrive at the building to see if your apartment may be ready early, please note that without a booked slot we cannot guarantee that early access will be possible.

We offer a 12pm check-out option for an additional £10.00, subject to availability. Please ensure that any requests for a late check-out are made at least one day prior to departure.

 

Our property team will only be able to offer this late check-out option on the day of departure in exceptional circumstances and is again subject to availability. 

 

Any guests wishing to check-out later than 12pm will have to book an additional night stay.
